TE-MA

An Industrial Catalogue Reborn as a Digital Ecosystem

TE-MA is one of Romania’s established manufacturers and distributors in the sanitary ware, ventilation, and piping industry — operating since 2000 across bathroom infrastructure, ventilation systems, piping accessories, and interior utility products. The project focused on modernising the company’s identity, rebuilding its digital infrastructure, and transforming a traditionally industrial catalogue into a clean, highly navigable, conversion-oriented platform for both B2B and B2C audiences.

Challenge

A mature industrial manufacturer operating with outdated digital expectations.

TE-MA already operated at significant scale, with years of production expansion, national distribution, and retail partnerships. But its branding and digital ecosystem no longer reflected the operational maturity behind the business. The real task wasn’t redesigning a logo — it was rebuilding how users interact with a highly technical product ecosystem of thousands of specification-driven products.

Understand the catalogue before designing the experience.

The sanitary ware and piping industry involves highly technical categorisation, compatibility logic, measurements, and interconnected product families. Before any UX could be developed, the entire catalogue ecosystem was reorganised around real navigation behaviour — categories, filtering, hierarchy logic, and technical specifications all engineered to reduce friction while maintaining accuracy.

Challenge

Built as a catalogue-first digital platform.

The website was developed around the catalogue itself. Every product required detailed presentation — specifications, technical drawings, measurements, compatibility, downloadable assets, and clean imagery. Large amounts of technical information had to stay readable and calm. The interface embraced a structured, minimalist, predominantly white visual language that kept products the primary focus.

Custom 3D category environments for product storytelling.

To elevate the catalogue beyond conventional industrial presentation, custom 3D scenes were developed for category pages — contextualising products inside realistic bathroom and sanitary environments. This transformed technical categories into visually understandable experiences, creating a cleaner, more premium perception while helping users grasp applications naturally.

Built for both B2B and B2C interaction.

The platform supported business clients and direct consumers simultaneously. Rather than disconnected journeys, the ecosystem unified both audiences through structured browsing, intuitive contact flows, and adaptable navigation based on varying levels of technical familiarity — from contractors and distributors to first-time buyers.

Goal

Transform a highly technical industrial catalogue into a modern digital product ecosystem.

The objective wasn’t simply visual modernisation, but completely rethinking how users interact with a complex sanitary ware catalogue online. The platform needed to feel clean, modern, interactive, and scalable while supporting thousands of products and long-term operational growth across both B2B and B2C audiences.

Result

A modern industrial catalogue platform built around usability, clarity, and scalability.

TE-MA evolved from a traditional manufacturer presentation into a modern digital ecosystem built around product discovery and structured usability. Through rebranding, catalogue-focused UX, interactive browsing, custom 3D environments, and engineered navigation flows, the platform established a scalable foundation supporting both B2B and B2C growth in Romania’s sanitary ware market.
